Began private practice in Frederick, Md. 1977 
Have tried cases in almost every jurisdiction in Maryland. 
1977- 1990, practiced in law firms (small, medium & large) and experienced a broad spectrum of general civil and criminal litigation matters, specifically including family law, custody, visitation, marital property, alimony and support,. criminal law, traffic and MVA hearings, civil and criminal appeals, general civil litigation, including plaintiffs personal injury, insurance defense work, landlord/tenant, real estate and title litigation, and administrative proceedings, and general commercial litigation. 
1990 to present, practiced as solo practitioner, have handled a large number of family law cases, involving all aspects of family law including custody, access, alimony and support, marital property, and other aspects of family law, criminal cases, and personal injury cases, as well as a continued work in business related cases. Court appointed attorney for children in custody related cases in the Frederick County Circuit Court.
​Handled a significant number of appeals before the Maryland Court of Appeals and Court of Special Appeals, and has been counsel of record in a number of reported cases. Extensive training and experience in mediation. Trained in general mediation, family law financial, custody and access, civil, workman’s compensation and advanced mediation skills. On Frederick and Washington County Circuit Court mediation panels. For the past l0 years I have handled a significant number of court appointed and private mediations. Previously, volunteer mediator for the Circuit Court for Frederick County personal injury mediation program in the late 90s. Also have served on the District Court day of court facilitation program for many years.
