I have practiced law in Frederick County, Maryland and surrounding jurisdictions for more than 30 years. I engage in the general practice of law. Significant portions of my practice are in family law including divorce and separation agreements, child support and custody. I have extensive experience handling criinal cases, as well as personal injury cases including traffic accidents. I have also handled other civil litigation cases, including property disputes and contract disputes.

I have substantial trial, negotiation and mediation experience in a variety of civil and criminal cases. This includes divorce, custody, and a variety of other family law issues. I also have significant experience in personal injury cases as well as protecting your rights if you are involved in a criminal case.

I have been in private practice since 1977, during which time I have tried cases in almost every jurisdiction in Maryland.

Though I have worked in small, medium and large firms, I prefer my solo practice as it allows me to handle each case personally. As each case is unique, providing personal service is important. I work to develop realistic options about each situation as it is not always necessary to go to trial. When trial is needed, however, I have the courtroom experience and skill to vigorously present your case both in trial and in hearings.
